Support JRM Fundraising
Finally, after 25 years of awaiting recognition and approval from the city of Niagara Falls, the 8th Wonder of the World, Dr. Jose Rizal's commemorative monument can now be made and erected for all Filipinos to admire and be proud of it!

CASA RIZAL will follow next!

National Hero of the Philippines
How did this journey to our project begin?

May 12th, 1888
Dr. Jose Rizal visited Niagara Falls, the first and only recorded visit of a Filipino.

1997
Philippine National Historical Commission donated a Jose Rizal Marker to commemorate his visit, through the Filipino Canadian Association of Niagara (FCAN) support for marker installation.

1998
FCAN request was denied by Niagara Parks, instead a commemorative tree was placed with a marker.

2022
JRM Niagara submitted another request with all documents about Rizal being the Philippine National Hero but was denied a second time.

2023
Due to the persistent submission of historical facts about JRM Niagara, the request was approved for a marker and a monument with a bust.
